Our Beloved Wyndle Neil was born December 18, 1952 to the parentage of the late Ocie Jr. & Virginia Ford in Gilmer, Texas. He graduated from Gilmer High School, Class of 1971. At an early age he accepted Christ at Moses Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, and several times throughout his life, he renewed his faith to strengthen his relationship with God.
In High school he had an All American spirit, dedicated to academics, the football team, the band (trumpet), and the choir. From high school he willingly enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was proud to have served his country and was issued the National Defense Service Medal for serving during such challenging times. Afterwards, he continued to work many skilled and creative jobs with his last being at the VA Hospital Dallas, as he enjoyed being around his fellow Veterans. His door was literally open to everyone.
Wyndle's hobbies included cooking, listening to music, playing dominos, playing chess, spending time with family and friends, trash talking, and being the most interesting man in the room.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ocie Ford Jr., Virginia Ford; Grandparents:: Myrtis Easley (maternal), Ocie Sr. & Luberter Derrick-Ford (paternal); Sibling: Donald R. Ford (brother).
