Obituary

Native of Vicksburg, MS and resident of Cedar Hill, TX was discharged from his earthly duties on July 2, 2019. Dr. Lassiter's life was full of joy and love for humanity. He was a living well of refreshing water to all mankind, regardless of cultural barriers quenching their thirst for higher skills and learning. Dr. Lassiter was truly a man sent from God to fulfill the voids wherever they existed in order to bring stability and creditability through his teachings, pasturing, and parenting management skills. He served his country as a retired officer of the US Army and finished his career as the Chancellor of the Dallas County Community Colleges and board member of the African American Museum. He was a devoted and committed husband to his wife, Demetria Lassiter and was an example of true fatherhood to his Son; Dr. Wright Lassiter, III and daughter Michele Ewell. Dr. Lassiter, Servant of God, WELL DONE!
