Mrs. Winnie Fay Ashford was born to the parentage of Mr. T. C. Carroll & Mrs. Ora Jackson Carroll. She was their only child.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Johnnie F. Ashford.

She was baptized in Chandler, Texas at an early age. Her parents moved to Ennis, Texas and she attended Ennis public schools.

Johnnie and Winnie married April 1943 and no children were born to this union.

In 1975, she, Johnnie, and her parents became charter members of Concord Church, under the pastorage of Reverend E. K. Bailey. She was faithful until her health failed.
