Wilma R. Washington, 72, of Arlington, Texas was born May 30, 1949 in Alexandria, LA. She was affectionately known as "Candy." She departed this earthly life on May 26, 2022.

Wilma accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized by the late Reverend Leonard Williams.

Wilma graduated from Peabody High School in Alexandria, Louisiana in 1967. After graduation, she began her career in healthcare.

She later moved to Arlington, TX and continued her career as a supervisor in healthcare.

Wilma was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Johnson; mother, Geneva Johnson; son, Albert Dwandale Phillip; sister, Lela Jackson; maternal and paternal grandparents.

She leaves to cherish her memories: son, Joey Washington; 4 grandchildren, Derrian Carpenter, Jaylen Washington, Jasmine Washington, Kayden Beatty; 3 sisters, Bertha Green of Dallas, Rose Moore and Geneva Cleveland of Alexandria, LA; one brother, Arthur Johnson(Pam) of Houston, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Also, her loving godchild, Kim Hollins, who was always at her bedside until her departure.
