Willie Mae Williams was born March 2, 1925 to Willie Dunnington and Esther Mae Smith in Athens, Texas. She attended school in Athens, Texas until 1946 when she came to Dallas, Texas.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Jesse Williams June 14, 1952. Seven children were born to this union.

Her husband preceded her in death in December of 1984, and her daughter, Diana Williams preceded her in death.

She leaves to lament in her passing and celebrate her memories: three daughters, Gloria Pegram, Phyllis Williams, and LaShuna Williams; three sons, Charles Williams, Sammy Williams, and Gregory Williams; three grandchildren, Andrea Clemmons, Camille Pegram, and Joshua Pegram; two great grandchildren, Alexes Clemmons, and Brittney Clemmons, and a host of other relatives, and friends.
