Willie Catherine Wells, born on January 3, 1920 to the parentage of the late Sam Governor Wells and Katie Shaw Wells, passed away on February 25, 2013 in Arcadia, Oklahoma.

Willie accepted Christ as a child and united with the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church on Phillips Street in Dallas, Texas. She was a dedicated member in recent years with a special love for her Sunday School Class adn church family. She remained a faithful member until she moved to Arcadia, Oklahoma due to a decline in health where she attended St. James AME Church.

Willie was employed in various capacities during her lifetime. She retired in the late 90's as a private duty domestic worker.

Willie loved people and will be remembered for her friendliness and outgoing spirit. She was an avid reader and loved the beauty of nature and all things of beauty.

Her memories will be cherished by a loving daughter and son in law, JoAnn (Carl) Reeves, Janice (Ray) Frazier, Carla (Delbert) Downs, Mae Catherine (Cornell) Fields; stepdaughter, Cathy Ward; grandson, Jason Ward, two great granddaughters, Ebonee (O'dell) and Sharonda (Tommy) and a host of other relatives and friends.

The homegoing celebration will commence on Friday, March 1, 2013 11AM at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, 4536 Philip Street, Dallas, Texas
