Willie H
Norris
August 22, 1935 – September 15, 2021
Willie was raised in Nacogdoches Texas along with his seven (7) brothers and sisters where he accepted Christ at an early age. He met and married his wife of 60 years, Margie, in Nacogdoches TX and they decided to move to Dallas TX with their two children.
Willie worked primarily in two industries - granite countertops and diary processing. He retired from Oak Farms Diary. He was an active member of Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church where he was a member of the Usher Board and Courtesy Committee in addition to participating in other church services to assist those in need.
Willie told everyone he was a dedicated fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers (even wore the jacket to prove it) but he secretly maintained his love for the Dallas Cowboys. Truth be known, he was the #1 Dallas Cowboys Fan and he was showered with tons of Dallas Cowboys apparal and accessories over the years to ensure everyone knew his "true sports heart" (his daughter, Jackie, made sure of that each Christmas!)
Willie loved to travel and experience new places and meet new people. Whether in Hawaii with his AZ and CA family or taking a cruise to the Caribbean or Alaska with his children or having a family barbecue in Dallas or Nacogdoches he had a GOOD time. As long as he was with family and good friends he was happy!
Willie had a gift - he could make everyone feel like family. He made it a point to check in on family and friends often and he was always a source of positivity. His family and friends describe him as nothing but kind, caring, warm, awesome and wonderful.
Willie is now at peace, joining his parents; brothers, Clyde Jr., Jethro and Forrest; and sisters: Rosie, Leola, Clara and Dorothy Jean..
Left to cherish Willie's memory is his wife, Margie; his son, Kenneth W. Davis (Betty); his daughter, Jackie M. Washington (Artis Cooper); and his two adopted daughters, Tangela Caldwell and Teresa Johnson. He was blessed with three grandchildren, Nakaisha R. Davis, Kenneth W. Davis Jr., and Lauren E. McLendon; and two great grandchildren, Jae'lun Scott and Anthony Givens.
Also left to cherish his memory is his brother, James Brown and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. We will miss Willie dearly, but we are so grateful for the time we had to spend with him. We will always feel his presence in our hearts.
