Willie Ford was born July 26, 1939 to the parents of Charlie Ford and Ether Coleman in Wiergate Texas. He was baptized into the Baptist faith at an early age. Willie received a formal education in Wiergate, TX. He relocated to Dallas, TX and met his wife Emma. Willie and Emma were married on February 10, 1971 This year Willie and Emma celebrated 50 years of marriage. He and his family joined Friendship West Baptist Church under the direction of Dr. Fredrick D. Haynes
Willie worked for Red Ball Motor Freight for over 40 years until retirement. Willie enjoyed hunting, fishing, hanging out with his family, and most of all watching sports especially the Cowboys. He quickly became bored with retirement and started his own trucking company E. R. Ford's trucking. Willie was always working on a car or truck, especially his prize possession his 1932 Ford Coupe.
He was proceeded in death by both parents, Charlie and Ether; Sister: Teresa Luster; Brothers: Jerry Ford and Buddy Ford; Son: Everett Moore
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Emma; Sons: Willie Ford Jr (Charolette), Jimmy Ford (Michelle); Daughters Erika Griffin (Rhionell), Janice Hampton (Bill), Linda Wade (Curtis); Brothers: Monroe, Charles, Henry, and Benny, Sister: Ruby, Grandchildren: Angela, Tiffany, E'lyse, April, Jonathon, Jaamal, William, Lavondria, Marcus, Moses, and Maquan Godchildren: Sharee, Jennifer, Xavier, Xakema, Jaliyah, and Jacyrion. He also leaves a host of other relatives, friends, and co-workers. Willie will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
