Reverend Willie Facen departed this earthly life for heavenly home on December 23, 2012.
Ann possessed an adventurous spirit and left home to attend Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas. While at Jarvis, she was named "Miss Junior" in the Homecoming Court. Also, it was there she met and married Lloyd B. Facen from Little Rock, Arkansas and to this union four children were born, LaCracha, Lucretia, Lori and Lloyd II. The couple moved to Little Rock where Ann completed her college education receiving a bachelor science degree from Philander Smith College.
She became a faithful member ot the The Way the Truth the Life Christian Church, where she served as CWF President, taught Sunday School, and served in many other areas. It was there she announced her call to ministry under the pastorate of Reverend Claude O. Maples.
She was honored to be selected for a mission tour to London, England in 1988. Reverened Facen was also awarded the Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Award by the Hannibal NAACP. This award is given to the individual who best exemplifies the ideals of Martin Luther King in their daily life.
Her memories will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. She will be missed dearly.
The homegoing celebration will commence on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Northway Christian Church, 7202 W. Northwest Highway.
