Willie D. Edwards Jr. was born May 22, 1981 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Willie D. Edwards Sr.and Theresa Edwards. He was educated in the Irving Independent School District and was a 1999 graduate of MacArthur High School. He attended Texas Southern University in Houston, TX before beginning a successful career as a professional barber.

Willie was baptized February 8, 1987 at Midway Baptist Church II under Rev. M.B. Bassin Shreveport, LA and was a longtime member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. He was devoted to his family and shared a special bond with many longtime friends. He was also a member of Genesis Lodge#8 Grand Lodge of Texas.

He is survived by his wife-Deneka Edwards; three daughters- Krystian Edwards, Brooklyn Edwards and Jordyn Simmons; his parents Theresa Edwards and Willie D. Edwards Sr.; grandmother– Florence Henryone sister- LaTonya Battles (Jacob); niece Dallas Battles; nephew Jacob Battles Jr.; uncles- Albert LeeWillisms (Patricia), Otis Henry (Ruby), Nyrone Henry, Grundy Joe Johnson and Robert Smalley (Sherry); aunts- Constance Jones; Tarsha Gibson (Walter) Ruthie Franklin a host of cousins and dear friends.
