Willie C. Banks, born on October 12, 1948, in Dallas, Texas to Mary Eliza and Isiah Banks, Jr., was called home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2025.

He received his early education in the Dallas Independent School District, where he attended Franklin D. Roosevelt High School. Willie C. accepted Christ at a young age and began his spiritual journey at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. R.M. Bell. Throughout his life, he continued to grow in faith, worshipping at various churches.

A man of great hands-on skill, Willie C. was employed by P.A. Ross before later moving on to Charlie's Garage, where he could put his love for mechanics and craftsmanship to work. He was known for his hard work and dedication.

In 1979, Willie C. married Marilyn Sneed, and together they welcomed their daughter, Rochelle Banks, on November 26, 1979.

Willie C. was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Eliza and Isiah Banks, Jr., brothers Arthur Earl, Isaac Lee, and Artis Lee Banks, and sister-in-law, Penny Banks.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Rochelle Banks; step-daughter, La'Dacia Warren; step-son La'Monta Sneed; brother, Wilbert Banks Sr.; sisters, Vanessa Traylor, Dorothy Banks-Coy (Perry); grandson Ja'Tyrus Grant; granddaughter, Jayla Grant; great-grandson, Ja'Tayvion Grant; four step-grandchildren; a cherished aunt, Shirley Hall (Robert) of Seattle, WA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Willie C. will be remembered for his kind spirit, dedication to his family, and love for live. He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
