Wayne Wright Roberson (Dewayne) was born in Paris, Texas on March 17, 1954 to Allen and Beauty Roberson. He was the youngest son of nine siblings. Best friend and confidante. Expert driver. Master craftsman. Top chef. Fedora enthusiast. Sci-fi fan. Bedtime storyteller.

Achievements:
Wayne attended elementary school in Sudan, Texas. He was raised with a strong faith and accepted the Lord into his life. The family later moved to Lubbock where he graduated from Estacado High School. He attended Paul Quinn University in Waco, Texas and pledged Omega Psi Phi fraternity in the Fall of 1975. Several years later, he transferred his studies to the University of North Texas where he went on to earn a B.A. in Emergency Management. On October 30, 1987, he married Sharon Gibson, who was his best friend and confidante until his departure.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 29 years, Sharon Roberson; six children, Adonis Johnson, Brittney Roberson, Brianna Roberson, De'andre Roberson, A'Marie Roberson, and Gabrielle Roberson; six surviving siblings, Lily Roberson, Willie Watkins, Maria Roberson, Lenzel Roberson, Gene Roberson, and Jimmy Roberson; and a host of other family and friends who loved him dearly.
