Obituary

Waymon "Bo" Nelson was born in Cuney, Texas on July 30, 1949. He was the first son of Walter Nelson and Annie B Williams Nelson.

His early years were spent in Cuney in Cherokee county, before moving to Dallas Texas with his parents in 1955 .Wayman attended schools in both Dallas Independent and Wilmer Hutchins school district, graduating from John F Kennedy high school in 1967. He attended Dallas college after graduation but was drafted into the army in 1968, on a 2 year and 3 month tour in Vietnam.

After his military service, he worked as a supervisor for both Cooper Aerodynamics and Gulf Petroleum. He then worked for Dunlop Swain, where he retired after 30 years in the mid 2000s.

He married Florida Leffall on July 26, 1996. Waymon united with Metropolitan Baptist Church on December 12, 2016, and worked with the Transpiration and Brotherhood ministry until his health began to fail. He loved gardening and was an avid and passionate Dallas Cowboys football fan.

Waymon was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Annie B Williams Nelson; brother, James; God's special gift sisters, Latonia and Tomika.

Wayman leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Flora Leffall Nelson; his sisters, Shirley Maiden (Dana) and Gwendolyn McClarity (Frank); special sister, Agnes Diaper; two sons, Juan McGruder (Elaina) and Michael McGruder (Carolyn); two daughters, Demetria and Demarla Mason and his right-hand grandson assistant, Ryan. His other loving grandchildren are Ryana, Micheal Jr., Neaman, Miles, Julian, Destiny,Jeffrey, Lonnie, Christopher and Catrina; nephews, Keenan (Denise), Eric, and Jeremy McClarity; four special great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Ashley, Ashton and Aaron Craven; his dear friend and Dallas Cowboy buddy, Roscoe and a host of other relatives, in-laws and friends.
