Wade Lankford's Obituary
Wade Lankford departed this earthly life on Friday, October 19, 2012 in Dallas, Texas surrounded by those who loved him most.
He was the seventh child born to Bert and Gladys Lankford on August 22, 1940 in Centerville, Texas. He completed his education in the Centerville Independent School District.
On July 12, 1964, Wade married the love of his life, Osie Dell Edwards. To this union four children were born: Gregory, Derrick, Cedric and Wendy.
Wade worked hard in his role as husband and father. He was employed with LTV in Grand Prairie and after 32 years of service, he retired in 2003. He continued his passion of welding and farming with his sons. Wade was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who loved his family tremendously.
He was a faithful member of Community Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Oscar D. Epps, Sr. He loved his church and served loyally as a deacon.
Left to cherish his memories: Loving and devoted wife, Osie Dell; children, Gregory (Angela), Derrick (Jacqueline), Cedric and Wendy (Rodney) and a host of other relatives and friends.
The homegoing celebration will commence on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 NOON at Community Baptist Church, 115 W. Beltline Road, Desoto, Texas
