It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vickie VauShon Galloway, who transitioned to be with our Lord and Savior on February 19, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on September 19, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, to J.C. Johnson Sr. and Patricia Cox Turner, Vickie was a radiant soul whose infectious energy brought light and joy to everyone around her. She accepted Christ in her life at an early age and was an active member of West Irving Church of God in Christ.

Vickie's presence had a special way of uplifting any room, and she was known for her unwavering positivity, vibrant spirit, and kindness. She graduated from Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, CA, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Additionally, she held certifications in International Lay Counseling and Medical Insurance Claims Examination.

Vickie's life was further enriched by her marriage to Elder Wayne Galloway Sr. Together, they raised four sons: Wayne Jr. (Dominique), Gary, Timothy, and David Galloway. She was also a proud grandmother to Keoshio, Wayne III, Joy, Asia, and Gary Galloway, and great-grandmother to Samirah and TraiDyn Galloway. Vickie is also survived by her loving siblings, Alicia (Freddy) Dickerson, VerLinda, JC Jr., Latonia, and LaShanda Johnson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and a vast circle of family and friends.

Although Vickie has left this world, her love, light, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
