Obituary

Veronica Marquette Cooper (affectionately known by family and friends as "Quette" or "Ronnie") was born on the 10th of September 1953 in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Nathaniel and Lee Etta Cooper. Veronica spent the next 25 years of her precious life in Philadelphia,
graduating from Germantown High School and then attending Temple University before relocating to Dallas, Texas. Throughout Veronica's
career, she was a quick learner, always possessed leadership skills, and brought resolve to problematic situations. Her first technical job was at
M-Tech, where she monitored commercial mainframe computers in the early 1980s. Around that same time, Veronica met her love, Curtis D. Clark, during the summer of 1980. Curtis and Veronica had an extensive courtship until, on October 4, 1991, they sealed their holy nuptials at Union Hope Institutional Primitive Baptist Church, by the late Elder L. T. Morgan. As the years passed, Veronica shopped, remained resilient during times of illness, and made frequent travels to Las Vegas, Nevada. Ironically, Curtis secured a leadership position in Las Vegas, which enabled Veronica to have dual residency there and in Dallas for several years. As Curtis' position shifted, the Clarks officially returned to Dallas to share the remaining years of her life, the life they built together, and to continue to love family and friends. Her spirit rejoiced to be a proud member of Hope In Christ Church, Pastor Willie B. King Jr.
