Twon
Johnson-Salmon
December 22, 1966 – January 14, 2026
Twon Antquinette Johnson-Salmon was born on December 22, 1966, in Dallas, Texas, to James Johnson Jr. and Waytress Faye Crowe. She spent her childhood traveling between Los Angeles, California, and Dallas, Texas, and graduated from high school in Dallas at the age of 16. After spending a period of time in California with her mother, Twon returned to Dallas, where she began building her family.
While raising her oldest two daughters as a single mother, Twon answered a calling to nursing. She trained as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) during their childhood. In 1999, Twon welcomed her youngest daughter with Hopetan Salmon, whom she later divorced. Always willing to learn and improve while raising her family, Twon later earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and devoted her career to hospice nursing, offering comfort, dignity, and compassionate care to patients and families.
Twon's home was never quiet—it was a lively center of family and friends where laughter, conversation, and the bustle of daily life were always welcome. She greeted guests with warmth and made everyone feel at home, opening her door and her heart without hesitation. Twon loved fashion and took joy in clothes, shoes, and purses, expressing her personality through style and sharing that joy with those around her. She will be remembered for her deep love for family and friends, her generous spirit, and the warmth she brought to every gathering.
She is survived by her daughters, Niki Gonzalez, Jordan Williams, and Sydney Salmon; her brothers, Terrance Davis, James Johnson III, and Earl Johnson; and her grandchildren, Bella Hernandez, Nayeli Hernandez, Santiago Hernandez, Jessica Hernandez, Jaiden Williams, Jaxton Williams, Kadon Brooks, Karson Williams, Latavia Ridguard, Aayanna Johnson, and Wyatt Crawford.
