Tredis Louise Perkins-Watson was born on February 2, 1978, in Dallas, Texas. On Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 48, Tredis peacefully transitioned from this life after a courageous journey with brain cancer, which she was diagnosed with in January 2026.

Tredis was a sweet soul with a peaceful spirit. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, sister, godmother, cousin, and friend. Her gentle spirit, warm heart, and love for those around her made her a special person to everyone blessed to know her.

Tredis was the only child of her parents and was proudly known as her daddy's girl. She shared a very special bond with her father, Steve Perkins, and truly enjoyed spending time with him. Whether they were simply hanging out, talking, laughing, or making memories together, the time she spent with her dad was precious to her. Their special relationship was a beautiful reflection of the love they shared.

Tredis loved the simple joys of life. She enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for those she loved, playing cards and dominoes, listening to the soulful music of Anita Baker, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She was also a proud and devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loved Mickey Mouse, two things that brought her joy and reflected her fun-loving personality. She had a way of making ordinary moments memorable, and those who knew her will forever cherish her laughter, kindness, sweet spirit, and peaceful presence.

Tredis was a proud graduate of Dallas Independent School District's Spruce High School, Class of 1996. She was also a dedicated employee of Eatzi's, where she faithfully worked for 13 years. Her dedication and commitment throughout her years of employment reflected the hardworking woman she was.

On April 19, 2019, Tredis married her husband, Blandon Watson. Tredis loved her husband deeply, and their union was an important part of her life.

Tredis leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her three children, Christopher Perkins, Britney Perkins, and Blandrea Watson; her husband, Blandon Watson; her seven grandchildren, Christopher Perkins Jr., Za'kevion Perkins, Cherish Perkins, True Perkins, Amari Perkins, Liberty Perkins, and Jaydence Jackson; her devoted father, John Steve Perkins; her goddaughters, Yasmine Cooks & Ashton Crouch; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Delois Perkins; her brother, Corrien Demon Washington; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Tredis' life was a gift to all who knew and loved her. Though her earthly journey has come to an end, her love, kindness, laughter, peaceful spirit, and the memories she created will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, father, family, and friends.

She fought her battle with courage and left this world surrounded by love. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love will never be forgotten.
