Tracy Annette Brown was born January 8, 1960, to the parents of Jerrilene Franklin and Alvin Jones in Dallas, Texas.

Tracy attended L.G. Pinkston High School and graduated in 1978. She attended Eastfield and El Centro College.

Tracy entered her eternal resting place on August 10, 2018. She was preceded in death by her son, Teddie Adell Brown.

Tracy leaves to cherish her memories: daughter Kawona Brown-Nelson of Houston, TX; four grandchildren, Jaylen Brown, Triniti, Rhyleigh, and Willie (Tre) Nelson; husband, Derek Woodard; two stepdaughters, Tierani and Tamoyia Woodard, one stepson, Derek Woodard Jr.; mother Jerrilene Franklin of Dallas, TX; five sisters, Gwendolyn Reed, Jeniesa Johnson (Kenneth), LaCarla Franklin, and Toni Franklin all of Dallas, TX; one brother, Ronnie Franklin (Connie) of Balch Springs, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Life is but a stopping place, a pause in what's to be, a resting place along the road to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, different paths along the way, we all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay. Our destination is a place far greater than we know, for some, the journey's quicker, for some the journey's slow. and when the journey finally ends, we'll claim a great reward, and find an everlasting peace, together with the Lord.
