Thomas Theodore Norwood, Jr. was born July 26, 1977 in Columbia, TN to the parents of Mr. Thomas and Janice Norwood. He accepted Christ and was baptized at the age of 12 at New Birth Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor G. W. Pryor.

He attended the Mesquite Independent School District and was a proud graduate of West Mesquite High School. He had been in the orchestra before discovering his passion for basketball. He played on both the Junior and Senior varsity teams becoming acknowledged as Most Valuable Player.

After graduating he worked different jobs, but his last job with Kroger most suited him, as a carpenter because he enjoyed building and repairing. He was available to friends and co-workers to build doghouses or repair their car. He continued playing basketball in the neighborhood with the youth and became their basketball legend as one recently said.

He later joined the family and attended Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship under the leadership of Dr. Tony Evans.
