Our beloved Thomas C. Melton, Jr. was born in Texarkana, AR, on February 10, 1956, to Ora and Thomas Melton, Sr. Thomas graduated from Arkansas Senior High School in 1974. He met and married the love of his life, Wanda, and they were blessed with three children—Thomas III, Tennille, and Tamara. Thomas was dedicated to his family, whom he dearly loved! Thomas also served his country, enlisting and serving in the U.S. Air Force for years.

Thomas loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a true servant and courageous soldier of the Gospel. He dedicated his life to the Lord's church, serving as a Sunday school and Bible study teacher, then as Assistant Minister at Singing Hills Church of Christ for several years, before being chosen as the full-time Minister at Cliffwood Church of Christ, where he served faithfully until he transitioned.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Ora and Thomas Melton, Sr.; his grandmother, Eula Perry; his aunt, Lillie Booker; his niece, Rachella Carson; and his nephew, Lamont Melton.

Thomas' memories will forever be cherished by his devoted and loving wife of 50 years, Wanda; his son, Thomas (Alesha) Melton III; his daughters, Tenille Melton and Tamara (DeMarcus) Porter; his grandsons, Christopher, Jacoby Jr., Nicholas, and Micah; his granddaughters, Anaya and Leilani; his brother, Donice Melton; his sisters, Karen (Stan) Elliott and Stephanie Melton; the Cliffwood Church of Christ family, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved him dearly.
