Thomas Ray Carter was born in Beckville, Texas February 24, 1942 to the proud parentage of Maxie Carter, Sr. and Mattie Joe Carter.
Thomas was a member of God Way Fellowship Church in Dallas, Texas under the leadership of reverend Kendrick Lawrence, where he remained until his passing.
Thomas gained his education and graduate from James Madison High School. As a young man gained his work skills as a driver with R.C. Cola, later moved on the Ben E. Keith, he was known as the "Beer Man". He went on to work at Oak Farm until his retirement. Been a hard worker when back to work as an crossing guard with Dallas Independent School District until his illness.
He was a loving husband, father, uncle, brother and friend to many. Well known in the neighborhood, well respected enjoyed life very outgoing. Loved taking care of his family and friends. To know Pappy, you have to have your ears open, cause you will be like (What) can go on and on telling the goodness of Mr. T.R. Carter, Pappy, Pa-Pa, Husband, Uncle, Brother and friend. Well respected KING we will miss you.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Carla Carter; daughter, Bridget Elliott (Victor); grandsons, Josh and Thomas of Duncanville, Texas; sister, Earnestine Carter (Tina) of Inglewood, California; special son and friend, Mr. Quinton Hill; and I can't leave his Sweet Miss out, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
