Obituary

A Love of Family
THELMA L. THOMPSON – PROCTOR was born September 3, 1937 to the parentage of Wilmer and Ada Gee in Mexia, Texas, Limestone County. She was the second child of three. This would be her first exposure to love and it laid a solid foundation for her life of LOVE.

Family has always been important to Thelma and she worked extremely hard to provide for her family. Thelma loved her entire family unconditionally. She was the primary caregiver of her parents during their time of illness until their deaths. She was and will continue to be the foundation of our family.

A Love of Faith
She entered a close walk with Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Macedonia Church of God In Christ in Ferris, Texas. Thelma faithfully served on the Mother's Board, Pastor's Aid Committee, Sunday School Secretary, Bible Band Secretary, overseer of the church readiness/upkeep and the church decorator until she was no longer able to serve due to illness. She was known for making the BEST pound cake and cornbread by all church members.

A Love of Learning & Living
She attended Frosa and Red Oak Public Schools and graduated from Dunbar High School in Ferris, Texas.

Most of Thelma's career was spent at Parkland Health & Hospital Systems (Parkland Hospital) as a surgical technician and after 32 years of service, retired as a ward clerk.
Her hobbies included bargain & thrift shopping, watching her favorite soap opera "The Young & The Restless", NBA basketball games and spending time with her family.

An Everlasting Love
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents Wilmer & Ada Gee, Claudie Gee (brother), William H. Thompson (first spouse), LD Strange (second spouse) and R.V. Proctor (third spouse)

Mrs. Thompson leaves to cherish her memory: Brother: Odies Gee, Sr. Children: Alfreda Gee McCoy of Glen Heights, Jacquelyn Tinnion (Bobby Tinnion) of Garland, Texas, Ray Thompson of Dallas, Texas, Gregg Thompson of Dallas, Texas and Regina Kirven (Stelvin Kirven) of Sunnyvale, Texas.
