Adored and cherished mother, sister and friend: Thelma Angela Thomas left her imprint on the hearts of many. She was born to the late Iza George of New Winthorpes, Antigua. She grew up with her three maternal siblings: Helena Knowles of St. Croix, the late Ona Orre of St. Croix, and the late Novelle Thomas. Her paternal siblings included IRose Thomas, Queenrose Thomas, and others.
She attended the New Winthorpes Primary School then the Princess Margaret Secondary School. Upon completion, she went on to serve the Antigua and Barbuda Government in several ministries as a civil servant for over 40 years. She retired as a permanent secretary, officially the Clerk to Parliament.
She was an excellent mother to her two daughters, Nina Frazer of Dallas, Texas and Brittany Hill-Morales of St. Joseph, Michigan. Her sons-in-law were Delvin Frazer and Xavier Morales. She was an exceptional grandmother to Nathanael Frazer, the late Michaela Frazer, Xiana Morales, and Benaiyah Morales. She was an aunt to the late Alma Archibald of Florida, Walter Orre and Gary Claxton of St. Croix, and Novella Thomas. She cherished her godchildren, Michella Benjamin and Najwah Benjamin-Joseph of New Winthorpes. Her close friends were Myrna Hampson, Hosea Archibald, Almira Henry, Junie George and Mona Jeffrey as well as the members of the Judges Hill Moravian Church. Some close cousins were Jasmine George, Rosemary Smith, and Noel Knowles. She had other close friends and cousins too numerous to mention.
