Thelma Bankhead-Calmes' Obituary
Thelma Louise Bankhead, affectionately known as "Bit," by those who loved her, was born June 10, 1931 in Macon, Mississippi to the late Dennis and Rosie Draper Bankhead.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Macon, Mississipp. She later became a member of St. Luke "Community" United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas.
God petitioned Thelma home to be with Him on September 28, 2012 at 11:50am while in the care of Manor Care Nursing Home in Dallas, Texas.
Her memories will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
The homegoing celebration will commence on Saturday, Octobe 6, 2012 at Noon at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 307 Sout Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr., Macon, Mississippi 39341
