October 25, 1952 – March 22, 2025
Steve Edward Foster born October 25,1952 in Hale County Alabama entered his eternal home in heaven on March 22,2025 in Desoto TX. He was the son of Dock and Mildred Foster.
Steve was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He had a loving gentle spirit and good heart. We ask that you remember him not in the way his life ended but for the way it was lived and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Steve at the age of 18 after graduating high school in 1971 joined the U.S Army and served his country with loyalty and dignity. He retired from the Army after 23 years and started working at the Dallas VA hospital as a Ward clerk. He worked at the VA for 27 years before retiring having accumulated 50 years total of government service. During his tenure at the Va in 2005 he met his soulmate Jeanette (Doris). She is a nurse there who would have to go to various parts of the hospital to do special procedures on patients. As Jeanette entered the floor that Steve worked he murmured under his breath " I would like to get to know her" unbeknownst that he was heard by her. She quickly responded to him " Be careful what you pray for". They married in 2012 after 7 years of courtship and remained together until the Lord called him home.
Steve is preceded in death by his father and mother Dock and Mildred Foster, Daughter Daphne Foster, sister Dottie Carter and Brother David Foster.

Steve was a talker and loved to talk with his family. There was never a short call when he called you and he loved to talk and debate. His favorite saying from whence you come was his motto and he lived by it to the fullest. His ride or die Claude Jean was his main taking partner and he loved her dearly.
"When you put God first you will never come in second"
"I'm to blessed to be stressed, blessed by the best.
Even though Steve did not have a church home he deeply believed in God. He loved to tune into church on YouTube and listen to his favorite Gospel songs
Although Steve's physical presence may no longer grace our lives his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing and may we carry forth his legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. As you continue to worship Jesus up there dear Steve your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
