Life Reflections

Silvia Retana was born April 26, 1956, in Toledo, Ohio and grew up in Chicago, daughter of the late Celia Cuellar. Silvia received her formal education in Chicago, at the Religion Catholic School. She moved to Texas in 1980 and went on to work as a hospitability specialist at Marriot Corporation. She was a church member of St. Michael for ten (10) years when her health started failing her.

Silvia had three (3) children and enjoyed spending quality time with them.

Silvia departed this life on December 4th and she is preceded in death by her mother and sister (Juanita Cuellar).

She leaves to cherish her memory, her brothers: Freddy medina, Danny Cuellar and Ray Cuellar; her children: Esequiel Chavez (Shylicka), Raquel Shelton (Milton), Davion Ortiz (Natasha Feltner); her grandchildren, Inocente (Darion) Soto, Micheal Rodriquez, Deziderius Shelton, Kitana Shelton, Zariyah Davis, Xavier Chavez, Ariana Chavez and Giovanni Davis; her great grandchildren: Delilah Shelton, Phoenix Trevinio and Rodriquez Shelton; her nieces: Brendalynn Medina, Samantha Cuellar and Maxine Cuellar and a host of friends.
