Shirley Marie Harris was born on September 22, 1945, and was the second child of Albert & Lois Clark in Pittsburg, Texas where she attended school. Shirley moved with her family to Garland, Texas where she graduated from High School.

On December 23, 1967 she married the love of her life Kenneth Harris whose love was celebrated for over 47 years. Shirley was the 1st black to be employed at Irving Tools and retired after 38 years of service.

In 1975 the Harris family joined God's Holy Temple Church under the leadership of the late Bishop Willie Perry where she served on the Mission Board.

Shirley leaves to cherish her memories a devoted and loving family her children: Cheri Richardson, Kimberly Maiden, Kenneth Harris, Aaron Harris(Stephanie) and LeVarious Harris(Kimberly); grandchildren Salthiel, Deosha, Cedric, Khadja, Usher, Kenneth, Ebony Johnathan, Aaron, Karmen, Stephanie, Daphne; 10 Great Grandchildren, 6 Sisters; 6 Brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws family and friends.
