Obituary

Shirley Jean Bell Kenney was born to the late Clarence Bell, Sr. and Lounette Portley on March 19, 1947 in Kilgore, Texas. Shirley met husband, Floyd Kenney while attending C. B. Dansby High School. They later married and moved to Dallas, Texas. She worked many years for Texas Instruments.

She was a God fearing woman and attended Community First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Mass choir. She loved going to church, traveling, spending time with family and loved ones.

If you knew Shirley she always kept some Strawberry Cream Savers and Dr. Peppers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd T. Kenney; father, Clarence Bell; mother, Lounette Portley; and brothers, Bronson Bell and Lawrence Bell.

She leaves to cherish her memories: children, Aatron L. Kenney (Quanika), Teresa Kenney-Wedlow (Tony), Marcus A. Kenney (Bonita), and Cojuana Kenney; brothers, Rufus Bell, Sr. and Clarence Bell, Jr.; sister, Martha Smith; grandchildren, Dejuan Kenney, Brandi Maxiell (Jason), Akia White-Brown (Dylan), Kendrick Singleton (Krystal), Atavia Davis, Arielle Kenney, Daria Washington, Brittany Kenney-Pincney (Raynard), Jordan Smith (Treonne), Bryce Kenney, Bailee Kenney, Derryle Peace, Jr.; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
