Obituary

Born August 22, 1945 In the pine spring community of Houston County ,, to the parent of George and Willie Foy. After her mom and dad move to glory by age 12 her brothers and sisters along with her aunt's and uncle took on the roll of helping to raise her.

She accepted Christ into her life and was baptized at an early age at Pine Spring Baptist Church.

She attended Kennard Colored High School under the educational guidance of various educators in the community. She also played on the basketball team coached by her sister Billie Lamb and graduated high school in 1962.

In the early 60's she aquired her beautician license in the city of Houston and moved to Dallas, Texas with her brother and sister-in-law (George and Mary Foy). She then attended the historical Bishop College where she was a cheerleader and enjoyed cheering for the Mighty Bishop Tigers.

On October 22,1966 The Beautiful Shirley Elizabeth Allan and remained in wedded bliss for 54 1/2 years. She also birthed and raised 3 boys of whom she loved dearly.

As an adult she worked for Texas Instruments for several years and retired In 2009 from Fujikoki America Inc. She also had entreprenur experience making sweet potatoe pies for the restaurant Stage Coach Bar-b-que In Arlington, Texas.

In 1966 Sis Allen along with her family joined St. Phillips Baptist Church under the Leadership of Pastor C.J.R Phillips. She sung in the Church Choir and also served as Secretary of Mission. In 1977 the family moved membership to Jordan M.B.C under the leadership of Pastor R.M Robertson where she suing in the Sr. Choir taught youth Sunday School, and taught the young ladies in the young woman ministry association (YWMA).

In1992 The Family moved membership to Hopewell M.B.C where she became Pastors Wife(First Lady) under the leadership of Pastor Monroe Lee Allen.

Shirley Elizabeth Allen was preceded in death by Parents George and Willie Foy, 4 sisters, 2 brothers,4 sisters-in laws, 4 brother-in laws. Left to cherish her memory her Husband Monroe Allen, 3 sons Rodrick(Andera), Lamont (Kourtney), and Nard-Wayne all of Dallas, Texas,4 grandchildren, 1 sister,1 brother, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who were blessed to know her.
