Obituary

Sherri Laverne Roberson entered this life on April 20, 1959. Born in Witchita, KS to her loving parents Ivy Roberson Jr. and Vivian H. Roberson. Due to her father being in the military she traveled to many states and countries. Sherri spent many summers back home in Mansfield, Louisiana with her grandparents and great aunts.

Sherri attended and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas, Texas in 1977. She joined Ms. Wade's modeling class right after high school. In December of 1979 she joined the U. S. Navy and was honorably discharged in July of 1981. She gave of herself tirelessly for many years to Texas Instruments as tech.

She was a faithful member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Rev A. L. Schley. She was involved in many youth activities and one her favorites being the youth choir. She loved family activities, traveling, and was a talented songwriter for celebrity artist.

Sherri welcomed two beautiful children into this world, Shanik Laquise Jones and Sunciare Shawnee Roberson whom she loved dearly. She was survived by her father Ivy Roberson Jr., her only sister Nancy(John) Brown, her Brothers Ivy Roberson III, Ronald Roberson Sr., and Darrell Roberson. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members. Sherri's mother Vivian H. Stephens and eldest brother John F. Roberson both proceeds her in death.
