Shawn Denise Edwards (McAdams), was born on August 16, 1965, in Memphis, TN, to Othell McAdams Jr and Earline McAdams. Shawn grew up attending R L Thornton Elementary School, W H Atwell Middle School and graduated from David W Carter High School. Shawn was married to Henry Edwards and they were blessed with one daughter Demetria Edwards.

Shawn dedicated 40 years of her life working at Kroger, from where she retired. Her commitment and hard work left an indelible mark on her colleagues and the many people she served throughout her career.

Shawn was a devoted Daughter, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother and friend. She was full of love and laughter. Shawn was a world traveler who recently visited Turks and Caicos and Cabo San Lucas, she also enjoyed shopping, watching Westerns and spending time with friends and family.

Shawn was preceded in death by her father, Othell McAdams Jr., Grandparents, Ida and Thomas Banks, Beulah and Othell McAdams; Granddaughter, Ka'Myah Miles; and Nephew, Adrian McAdams.

Shawn gained her wings on June 22,2024 in Dallas, TX at the age of 58. Shawn is survived by her Mother, Earline McAdams; Daughter, Demetria Edwards; Grandson, King Miles; siblings, Jacquelyn (Paul) Montgomery, Othell McAdams III, Cheryl (Kevin) Cole, Earl (Joyce) McAdams, Clifton McAdams, Lashandra McAdams, Marshall Hubbard, god-given son, Bobby Miles, bonus mom Josephine McAdams and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Shawn's life and legacy will be honored, remembered and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her.
