Sarah Miller Carroll was born December 21, 1936 in Waxahachie, Texas to the loving parents J.W. Miller and Louise Simmons. She was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 16, 2020.
Being raised in a God-fearing home, she accepted Christ at an early age. Sarah was a member of Mt. Lebanon Primitive Baptist Church at an early age. Later in life, she became a member of Graceland Community Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Cedric D. Stricklin where she served on the Mother's Board.
Sarah graduated from Turner High School in Waxahachie, Texas in 1955. She moved to Dallas and worked at Fox & Jacobs for over 20 years.
Sarah Miller Carroll was united in Holy Matrimony to Carey Lee Carroll on June 11, 1955. They became the proud parents of six children: Larry, Vanessa (Gail), Cheryl (Baby Sister), Rita, Delores (Notsy) and Gregory (Gee). They had a wonderful life together for 62 years.
Some of her favorite things were cooking, baking, shopping, watching her soap operas and enjoying her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carey Lee Carroll; mother, Louise Simmons; father, J.W. Miller; two sons, Larry Carroll and Gregory Carroll; two daughters, Cheryl Carroll Bursey and Rita Carroll Moore.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two children, Vanessa (Luther) Lane and Delores Carroll; one sister, Barbara Murray; brother-n-law, Curtis (Jenny) Carroll; two daughter-in-laws, Linda Carroll and Vicki Carroll; ten grandchildren, LaTroy (Tamesha), Dana, Timothy (Mahogany), Timeekah, Keyuna, Tiffany, Amber, Carl (Hasanti), Marcus, Kendrick (Amanda), and Rayvon; nineteen great-grandchildren, Brandon, Tameyah, D'Andra, D'Andre, Jam'ih, De'Braylon, Zharia, Caleb, Timelle, Chase, Kaimina, Sanaa, Autumn, Marcell, Kyle, Masego, MeKonnen, Kendrick Jr., Carson, Nadia; great-great grandchild, Tory; God-daughter, Paula (Terry) Sanders; God-sons, Randy (Sharonda) Holman, Tyrone (Deborah) Traylor; long time Best Friend, Doris Traylor. A host of special children, special grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
