Obituary

Sandrus Faye was the youngest girl of 9 children born September 20, 1962 to the parentage of Euna Faye and Thomas Wright. Both parents and two brothers, Louis and Tommy Wright preceded her in death. She was educated in Dallas Public Schools and is a graduate of South Oak Cliff High School. Having a passion to serve, Sandrus received training as a nurse's aide and early childhood educator. She spent several years in both professional arenas.

However, ministry was her most memorable commodity. Sandrus gave her life to Christ as a teen member of Greater Mt. Olive COGIC where she met and married (now Bishop) Charles. D. Thomas. At Greater Mt. Olive, she headed the Sunshine Band, was a lead Usher and a member of the mass choir… all under the leadership of Superintendant L. Fields Sr. Sandrus was always one to depend on as a volunteer at her beloved church of many years.

She fulfilled her quest to serve God and man in her marriage union, bearing two children, Cassandra (Cassie) and Charles Jr. (Chucky); both raised to revere God. Alongside Bishop Charles Thomas, Sandrus became an ordained Minister, First Lady and Pastor of New Fellowship Family Church. She spent countless hours teaching, preaching, helping, counseling, praying and giving of herself and her resources to mankind. She touched the lives of thousands of men, women and children all over Dallas. Her impeccable trademark and legacy was to lead by serving.

Along with her husband Bishop Charles Thomas Sr., Pastor Sandrus Thomas leaves to cherish her memory her son Charles Thomas Jr., daughter Cassandra Davis (Justin Davis)) and 4 granddaughters; Hannah Davis, Virtue Davis, Savana Davis and Havana Davis. She will be greatly missed by all of her siblings: Douglas Wright (Doris), DeWayne, Gary, Timothy, Cynthia and Catherine and a host of other relatives and close friends.

May God continue to honor the love and service Pastor Sandrus Thomas gave to humanity.
