In the beautiful blissful afternoon of June 26, 2024, our dearly loved Samuel Bruce McDow, Sr. entered eternal rest at his home.

Samuel Bruce McDow, Sr. was born July 26, 1945, in Quanah, Texas to Henry McDow (deceased) and Margaret Anderson McDow (deceased). He graduated from Frederick Douglas High School as Valedictorian in 1962. On July 1, 1965, he married his soulmate Virginia Ruth Ward McDow.

Samuel retired from Saia Trucking Company in 2007.

He leaves to cherish precious memories 3 children Samuel Bruce McDow, Jr. (Deborah), Yolanda Annette McDow and Kendrick McDow. Special Sons Derek McDow and Greg Ogbolu and Special Daughter Tonya Island. He also leaves his grandchildren, Samuel Bruce McDow III, Ebony Franklin (Kionne), Shantisha Riley, Johnathon DePaul Daniels, Jamal McDow, Kendrick McDow, Jr., Kevon McDow, Ke'ona McDow, Kendell McDow, Kentrell McDow, Keara McDow and Angel McDow and 14 Great Grand Children. Sister In-laws Theresia Howard and Carol Ford.

He was preceded in death by his soulmate Virginia Ruth McDow, son Samuel Darren Moore,

his brothers, Henry Clyde McDow (Doris) of Dallas, Texas, Paul McDow (Manie, deceased) of Tyler, Texas, Arthur Ray McDow (Shirley) of Dallas, Texas, Willie James McDow (Vera) of Dallas, Texas, and Lee Andrew McDow of Quanah, Texas. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Emma Faye McDow (Toby) of Dallas, Texas, Luberta Tubbs of Houston, Texas and Clemmie McGrew Williams of Killeen, Texas.

He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
