Samuel L. Brown passed away October 16, 2016.
He graduated Cum Laude from Prairie View A&M University in 1964 where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He furthered his education and attended Southern Methodist University in 1969 where he received his Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1976, he pursued his lifelong dream of becoming an entrepreneur and established BMA Systems, Inc.
In 1978, Samuel was initiated into the Theta Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., where he had the distinction of being a Life Member. A civic leader in the community, he was elected Chairman of the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce where he served on the Board of Directors for over 20 years.
Samuel is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, O'Shelia Moore; his son, Samuel Darnell (Darnasha) Brown; grandson, Samuel Darnell Brown, Jr; sister, Glenda Smith Gibson; brothers, Steve Smith and Anthony Brown and mother-in-law, Mrs. Jimmie M. Moore.
The wake service will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 7-8 PM. The homegoing celebration will commence on Friday, October 21, 2016 11:00 AM. Both services will be held at Friendship West B.C., 2020 W. Wheatland Rd., Dallas, TX
