Sadie Marie Robinson Taylor was born on September 29, 1936 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Lavonia Horn (Toles) and Earl Robinson, Sr. She received her education in the Dallas Independent School District, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1955. She furthered her education attending Prairie View A&M in Prairie View, Texas and Paul Quinn College in Waco, Texas. While attending Paul Quinn College, Sadie met and later married Leslie Taylor. This union was blessed with two daughters, Valeria Denise Taylor and LaVitta Lenise Taylor.

Sadie was very passionate about teaching and taught in the Dallas Independent School District for over 20 years before retiring in 1991. She was apart of several organizations including the Paul Quinn Alumni Association, Washington-Lincoln Alumni Association(WLAA), and was most passionate for the Lincoln Class of '55 Alumni Association. She helped plan social events and worked hard on new and existing memberships. She made sure dues were paid!!!

On Thursday, September 14, 2017, Sadie made her transition to be with The Lord. She was welcomed by her mother, Lavonia Toles; father, Earl Robinson; daughter, Valeria Taylor-Gates; brothers, Charlie Roy Robinson and Earl Robinson Jr. and sister-in-law, Rose Mary Jones.

Sadie leaves to cherish her precious memories: Husband, Leslie Taylor; Daughter, LaVitta Taylor; Grandchildren, Trenston Taylor, Jacoby Taylor,Sr., Daryl Brown,Jr., Ashanti Funches (Brandon), Kentorrye Taylor, Kenton Taylor, Kyler Taylor-Gates, and Ayanna Taylor; Great-grandchildren, Jacoby Taylor,Jr., Daryl Brown III, Andrea Taylor, Ki'Honesty Brown, and Aniyah Taylor; Sisters, Joyce Feggett (Harace), Vera Jones, and Ester McClenon; Brother, John Robinson (Rodest); Nieces, Graylyn Boyd, Regina Crow (Amando), Angela Reed, and LaSaunda Wall; Nephews, Barry Boyd, Vincent Jones, Courtney Reed (Kelly) and Jermaine Wall; Sister-n-laws, Anzella Taylor, Marion Wall, and Rodest Robinson; Special friends, Kay Frances McCoy, Barbara Williams, Ruby Peterson, Arletha Coleman and a host of relatives and friends.
