Ruth Ella Noble was born in Fairfield, TX on October 11, 1940. She was the fourth of eight children born to Jim (Sonny) and Locile Fantroy. Ruth grew up in Fairfield, TX and attended Dogan High School. She was a graduate of the class of 1959.
After graduation, Ruth moved to Dallas, TX and entered the Healthcare Profession. For over forty years, Ruth compassionately served many patients as LVN and Dietitian at St Paul and Medical City Hospitals. During her tenure, she received numerous service awards highlighting her commitment to attendance and excellence.
Ruth met and married Sylvester Noble, Jr on April 26, 1968. They gave birth to one beautiful daughter, Sylvia. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also very close to her siblings. She would always say, "baby we may not see each other, but we love each other." She made up for the lapses in time, whenever she was fortunate enough to get one of them on the phone.
Ruth made her reservation to heaven at an early age, as she followed her mother's lead and joined Avant AME Church in Freestone County. During the later years of her life, she began attending services at Camp Wisdom United Methodist Church with her beloved sister, (Lucille) and nephew, Fransoir. She always looked forward to the fellowship, singing, and preaching of the Word. However, on December 3, 2023, Ruth's soul became extremely restless, in search of its heavenly home. None of the things she had previously done such as, making the early reservation, attending numerous church services, nor watching church on tv could quench her hunger and thirst for righteousness. She knew she needed a faith/grace boarding pass which could assure her entrance into heaven. Today, Ruth wants you to know this: on December 3,2023, she had an unexpected visit from her niece Linda. During their visit, Ruth expressed her desire to get her spiritual life in order. When Linda began to question her about salvation, she told her that she could only recall going before the pastor at age eight. She had no memory of giving her life to Christ. However, she said she wanted to be saved, and asked Linda if she could lead her in the prayer she used to lead her sister Margie to Christ. As Linda led her, Ruth with her mouth, declared Jesus as Lord and said that she believed in her heart that God had raised him from the dead. She asked Jesus to be her Savior, and told him that she wanted him to be Lord of her life for the rest of her days. Afterwards, she had an expression of unspeakable joy and went on to express some details regarding her funeral. Finally, she said, "Lin, I believe God sent you to send me." 0n Sunday, March 3, 2024, Ruth arrived in heaven and is now a part of that great cloud of witnesses. Now here we are today, March 9, 2024, celebrating her testimony and Home going. Could God be sending her to send you?
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester Noble, Jr.; her parents, Jim (Sonny) and Locile Fantroy; four brothers, Love B Fantroy, James (J L) Fantroy, Jerry Fantroy, Richard Fantroy; two sisters, Lucille Fantroy, and Margie Davis.
Ruth is deeply loved, and memories of her life will live on the hearts of her daughter, Sylvia L Noble; grandson, Larenzo Noble-Wilkins both of Dallas, TX; brothers, James W Fantroy, LaPorte, TX; Marvin Fantroy (Gloria), Duncanville TX. Her memory will be fondly cherished by her nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
