Obituary

Rozell Jones, Sr. was born in Marshall, Texas to the parentage of Dexter and Viola Eddings-Jones.
He met and married Clarice Johnson-Jones, August 15, 1951. To this union eight (8) children were born. One preceded in death (Mark Anthony Jones).
He accepted Christ at an early age. He united with the Progressive Baptist Church in 1953 under the late Rev. W. E. Spears where he served as a faithful choir member, male chorus and deacon board. He was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at the True Way Evangelistic Church under the late Supt. Levi C Gant, where he served as a faithful deacon. He served as a deacon at the Cathedral of Faith COGIC under the leadership of his son, Elder Wendell Jones. He later worship and served as a deacon under the leadership Dr. M. A. Southall, Servan

He served in the United States Marines Corp. , where he was honorably discharged. He worked the Dallas Airmotive (Aviall) for 45 years as an Aircraft Mechanic, where he retired.
He leaves to cherish his memory: (3) daughters, Evang. Wanda Jones, Renee Jones-Geiger (Howard), Debra Jones-McClellan, (4) sons, Elder Wendell Jones (Janice), Roger Jones, Rozell Jones, Jr. (Annette), Mark Jones. Sisters and brothers: Dessie Lee Chalmers, Reba Mae Watson, Alexander Jones and Elder Paul Jones. Preceding in death: Corniece Timmons, Ruben Jones, Walter Jones, Lester Jones, Frank Jones, and Ezell Jones; 19 Grand Children, 35 Great-Grand Children, and 14 Great-Great-Grand Children; host of relatives and friends.
