Roy Clifford Hearne was born November 14, 1960 to parents, Dorothy Jean and Harvey Hearne in Dallas, TX.

He attended James Madison High School of Dallas and joined the United States Armed Forces shortly thereafter.

Roy was employed by Southwest Furniture where he served dutifully as the Retail Store Manager for more than 20 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Denise Jackson-Hearne of 12 years.

Roy devoted his life to his children and grandchildren: Sons- Royce, Shannon (Danasha), Brannon, and stepson, Arnold Word II. Daughters- Markeda and step-daughter, Asia Jackson. Grandchildren: Toniyah, A'Myria, Jaylen, Daniel, Mila, Jayce, Kaelynn, Noble, Gabriel, Antwone, A'majai, A'riyah, A'mari, A'rielle, JaTyria, RyKeem, Royaltiis, Ava, Jeniah, and John. Siblings: Gerry (Shanta), Ray, Harvey (Tonya), Terry, Tim (Vanessa), Linda Wright, Sharon Loudd (Oliver), and Shalanda. And a host of nieces, nephews, uncle, cousins, and friends.

Roy was preceded in death by parents, Harvey & Dorothy Hearne and siblings, Diane, Brenda and Cordell.

Roy loved and was genuinely loved by many in his community and neighborhood.

You can always find him dressed to the tee in his leisure suit, cutting a step on the dance floor or at the domino table.

He also loved the Dallas Cowboys win, lose or draw and famously known for running football boards every season.

His family and friends knew him to be a wonderful cook, a proud grill-master and baker, making his famous sweet potato pies by request.

Roy's heart to give and serve others is the legacy his loved ones will cherish for many years to come.
