Obituary

Rowlon Weaver, Jr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and man of God, was born on August 1, 1952, in Corsicana, Texas, to the late Rowlon Weaver, Sr. and Willard Joyce Riles Weaver. He peacefully entered eternal rest on October 26, 2025, a sacred date shared with his beloved sister, Barbara Weaver Nobles Smith, who also transitioned on October 26, 1998. On that day, 27 years apart, the two were reunited in the presence of the Lord.

Rowlon was a proud graduate of G.W. Jackson High School in Corsicana, Texas. He lived a life guided by faith, strength, and steadfast love, always leading his family with wisdom, integrity, and grace. He was a faithful follower of Christ, a natural-born leader, and a protector to all who knew him. He shared 51 years of marriage with his devoted wife, Dica Weaver, a union grounded in faith and unshakable love. Together, they built a strong foundation and raised three daughters: Natosha Weaver Hutchins (Garrick) of Waxahachie, TX; Rolonda Criss (Antwaun) of Grand Prairie, TX; and Lakendra Weaver of Glenn Heights, TX. Rowlon was a proud grandfather to Adrienne, Ayven, and Addisyn, each of whom brought him great joy and laughter. A man with a generous heart and gentle spirit, Rowlon also shared a special bond with the family horse, Joe, whom he lovingly raised and often referred to as a son. Joe preceded him in death on January 2, 2024.

Rowlon, Jr. is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara Weaver Nobles Smith. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and siblings: Joyce Ellison, Vernon Weaver, Lola Johnson, Martha Brown, Alandus Weaver, Dr. Carlene Weaver, and Glen Weaver, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Rowlon's life is a testimony of unwavering faith and deep devotion. He was the anchor of his family, a man whose strength and love will continue to guide them. His transition on the same day as his sister reminds us that God's timing is divine and His reunions are eternal.
