Ross Burnett, Jr. arrived in this world on September 21, 1944 in Dallas TX, the second child born to Ross Burnett, Sr. and Mable Joshua Burnett. He graduated from Lincoln High School and attended Arlington State College.
Bro. Burnett worked for several companies including Dave Hicks Company and retired from Control Products Corporation (bought out Rayco) where he was employed for 30 yrs.
Bro. Burnett enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing guitar in his earlier years, was a car enthusiast, enjoyed watching westerns and watching cooking shows where he learned how to cook.
He grew up in Hopewell Baptist Church and later joined Ebenezer Memorial Missionary Baptist Church as a charter member.
He married Patricia Stanton.
Bro. Burnett passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 and was preceded in death by: both parents, his sister Annie Laurie Weeks; brother-in-law, Harve Weeks; and ex-wife Patricia Stanton. Those who cherish his memories are nephew, Dwain Weeks (Katherine), son, Eric Stanton (Stephanie), grandkids, great grandkids nephews, nieces, nephews, cousins, long time childhood friend, Robert Williams, close friends, girlfriend, Addie May Shelby.
