Roslyn Marie Barron was the third child born to the union of O.C. and Frances Barron. She received her education in the Dallas Independent School District. She attended Joseph J. Rhoads Elementary School, Bishop Heights Elementary School (Wilmer Hutchins ISD), Charles Rice Elementary School, Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. High School and is was a 1975 graduate of Lincoln High School.
Roslyn was active in the Majorettes at O.W. Holmes where she was runner up for Miss Oliver Wendell Holmes. At Lincoln Roslyn was a member of the Honor Society and the Purple Flash Drill Team.
She professed her love of God and her belief in Christ as a child at True Lee Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. Robert L. Parish, Sr. Roslyn was a happy child who loved reading, watching television, and most of all she loved dancing and singing.
Roslyn was employed with Dallas ISD, Wilmer-Hutchins ISD, City of Dallas and Frozen Foods Express.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father.
Those who are left to cherish her memories are: 3 Sons - Korey Barron, Sr., Keldrick Barron (Missy), Keilon Barron; 2 Daughters - Kameshia Daniels (Bobby) and K. Frances Barron (Richard); Brother - Otis Barron; Sisters - Deborah McDonald (Val) and Gina Alston (Isaac); ___ Grandchildren - Korey, Jr., Kameron, Kabien, Amari, Kayla, Kaylon, Kyree, Kobe, Kijani, Kashari, Kelli, Khalil, Kylan and Kamdon; 2 great grandchildren - Kyan and John; a grand pup - Lucy, nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
The Sacred Farewell to Ms. Barron will commence on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 12:00 PM at True Lee Missionary Baptist Church. The Pastor, Rev. Donald R. Parish, Sr., will Preside. Burial will follow in the Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas.
You may visit Ms. Barron Thursdayfrom 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the funeral home in Dallas.
The Wake Service is Thursday 7-8:30 PM at True Lee Missionary Baptist Church.
