Ronald Lee
White
January 15, 1950 – October 5, 2022
Ronald Lee White was born on January 15th, 1950, in Houston, Texas to Georgia Lavern (Idlebird) White and Reverend Jethro White, Sr. He received his wings to glory on Wednesday, October 5th 2022 at the age of 72 years old.
Ronald earned a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1971 – 1977. Ronald married the love of his life, Sharon Ann White, in Dallas, Texas on March 17th 1979, and they had two beautiful children (Reginald White and Alysha White - Thompson).
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, mentor, and friend. Ronald enjoyed traveling with his family, hosting family gatherings, and attending the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, and Texas Ranger games. Ronald also loved teaching his children how to be advocates for their community and become successful entrepreneurs.
Ronald served in various executive positions in his professional career. He started out as an auditor in Chicago, Illinois for Laventhol and Horwath then moved to Dallas, Texas as a comptroller for the Day Realty Company. Ronald continued his career at The Pro-Line Corporation serving in positions such as comptroller then advancing to executive vice president of the company. From Pro-Line, Ronald became an entrepreneur and started the Hay-White clothing company with Mr. Ron Hay. The Hay – White company sold clothing in multiple boutiques and acquired a manufacturing contract with J.C Penney. From the Hay – White Company, Ronald purchased an insurance agency later becoming the Ronald White Insurance Agency – Nationwide Insurance. The Ronald White Insurance Agency had offices in Duncanville, Lancaster, Desoto, Garland and Dallas, Texas. Ronald was awarded and recognized as a Hall of Fame agent, Champion agent and President's agent in Nationwide Insurance numerous times throughout his career. His greatest accomplishment with Nationwide Insurance was achieving the prestigious award of the million dollar round table.
Ronald was very active in the Duncanville, Texas community where his children attended school. He proudly served on various boards such as the Duncanville Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Board, Duncanville Education Foundation, Athletic Booster Clubs, and was a proud sponsor of many Duncanville athletic and educational programs in the Duncanville Independent School District. Ronald was an avid businessman and loved serving his community with his gifts.
Ronald was a proud and devoted member of Concord Church and became a deacon on May 22nd 2016. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon White, son, Reginald White (Farrah), daughter, Alysha Thompson (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Chancei and Joshua White; five siblings: Laura E. Medlock (Ardell), James White
(Toni), Doyle White (Patsy), Gladys Sterling (Charles), and Alfred White (Judy); as well numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Jethro and Georgia White, Sr. and his oldest brother, Jethro White, Jr.
