Rodney Wayne
Ferrell
May 6, 1960 – April 28, 2020
Rodney was born in Dallas, Texas on May 6, 1960, the first of two children to Samuel and Gerline (Dorothy) Palmer Ferrell. At an early age he joined Lambuth United Methodist Church and participated in many of the church activities.
Rodney attend grade school at Elisa M. Pease Elementary and graduated from David W. Carter High School in 1978. Rodney had love for cars and computers and exceled in them both. Many of his weekends were spent working on his cars or at the car race tracks.
Rodney will be remembered as a kind and gentle person. For over ten years he was the care taker and chauffeur for the late Mr. Charles Sharp and adopted by the late Mrs. Ruth Sharp Altshuler as a member of the family.
For the past 10 years, Rodney has been and Independent Contractor for Pronto Delivery.
Rodney was preceded in death by his grandparents; Llyod and Izora Coleman Ferrell, Cassie Aaron and Florence Nelson- Palmer, and his loving mother, Gerline (Dorothy) Palmer Ferrell.
Survived by his father, Samuel Ferrell; sister, Chandra Kaye Ferrell; uncles, Joe Louis, Benjamin, and Willie (Fredia) Ferrell; aunts, Ann Ferrell Williams, all of Dallas, Mary Ferrell Sampson of SeaSide, CA, and Jessie Blackwell Palmer od Jasper, TX.
Rodney will especially be missed by his mothers two nieces, Ramona and Carolyn and his mothers cousin, Shirley Jackson, as well as a host of Rodney's cousins and friends who loved him so much.
