Robert E. Lee was born April 3, 1956, in Gary, Indiana, to the late Perry and Renzie Lee.

He received his education from Westside High School, where he obtained his high school diploma. In 1975, Robert moved to Dallas, Texas, where he met the love of his life, Paula Faye Diggles. They married in 1987 and were married for 37 years. Within this union, they shared three sons.
Robert was employed at Staci Americas in the shipping and receiving department as an equipment operator. Robert joined Riverside Missionary Baptist Church in 2014, where he was a current member. The angel of comfort entered his life on March 24, 2025. Robert is preceded in death by his father Perry Lee and his mother Renzie Lee.

He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Paula Faye Lee; three sons, Demarkus (Carolyn) Diggles, Delton (Stephanie) Diggles, Delance (Felicia) Diggles; his loving cousin Joyce Baker; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of of all the special gifts in life, however great or small, to have you as my husband was the greatest gif t of all. May the winds blow softly and whisper in your ear, we love you and miss you and wish that you were here. Deep in our hearts, your life is kept to love and cherish, not forget. No more tomorrows we can share, but yesterdays are always there. A silent thought, a secret tear to keep your memory forever near, in my heart forevermore.
