Robert Lee Hunter "Pumpkin Boy" was born February 12, 1945, in Vernon, Tx to the late BW and Queen Esther Hunter. Robert graduated from Booker T. Washington.
Robert accepted Christ early in life. Robert's favorite scripture is Psalms 23. Robert LOVED the Lord and was grateful of the love and mercy shown. He was a member at Concord Church where he served with the Sunday School class, Veterans Ministry, and was extremely honored to fellowship with the Life "VIP" Ministry.
Robert is a proud veteran of the United States Army; he was a member of Local DAV 240. He was awarded a number of medals and badges during his career. He was a TRUE Dallas Cowboys fan.
Robert was employed with the US Postal Service and DART.
Robert loved his family and enjoyed morning and evening FaceTime calls with his siblings until his health deteriorated.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Betty J. Goss.
He leaves to cherish his memories; son Courtney; daughter Shay, brother and best friend; Bobbie (Annie)
Sisters; Esther B and Shirley Ann. Nieces; Lashonda (Sam), Denishia and Mackenzie. Nephews; Robert Gates, Alex, Earl, Jordan, and Nock.
Great-nephews: Jordan, Jr. and Dylan who put the biggest smile on Uncle Robert's face with their antics, also a host of other relatives and friends.
