Obituary

Robert Earl Hunt passed away early Saturday morning on March twenty third, two thousand twenty four at the age of sixty-five peacefully in the comfort of his home. On January twenty eighth, nineteen fifty nine, Robert Earl Hunt was born to the union of Nathaniel Hunt and Dorothy Lee Hunt in Dallas, TX. He accepted Christ at a young age. He was very outgoing, sociable and met no strangers. His family and childhood friends referred to him as "Cookie".

Robert grew up in Pleasant Grove of Dallas, TX where he received his formal education. He attended H. Grady Spruce High School where he was a student athlete, playing football. After high school, he became a jack of all trades spending his time providing lawn services, car repairs, home construction, creating barbeque grills, fishing and doing what he enjoyed the most, "chef boyar Robert". He was known for his famous barbeque, deep fried turkeys and fish fries. Being a family guy, he loved spending time with family and friends and having backyard gatherings.

Robert concluded his employment with Old Dominion Freight Line, Duncanville, TX in two thousand nineteen providing over fifteen years of service. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in two thousand eighteen and fought every day for the past six years.

Robert married Paula Marie John on August eighth, two thousand twenty. The two delighted in traveling, good food and loving one another.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Paula Hunt; children, Tianicqua (Jermain) Hampton, Antwan (Monica) Hill, Robert Williams, Sr., Brittany (Demetrius) Jones and Nathaniel A. Hunt; grandchildren, TreVonte Williams, Sr., TyWaun Hampton, Anthony Hill, Mya Hill, Breonna Franklin, Robert Williams, Jr., Kayla Williams, Champion Williams, Demetria Jones, Demetrius Jones, London Jones, Leah Jones, Skylar Jones; great-grandchild, TreVonte Williams, Jr.; siblings, Gwendolyn Hunt, Dwight Hunt and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and other relatives.

Proceeding him in death, father, Nathaniel Hunt; mother, Dorothy Hunt; and brother, Kenneth Hunt.
