Robert Nay Carr (aka Babyboy) was born on January 23,1943 in Grapeland, Texas to Adam Carr (deceased) and Willie Lee Murchinson (deceased). Robert attended W.R. Banks High School in Grapeland, Texas.
After graduating Robert relocated to Galveston, TX for a brief stay then later relocated to Dallas, TX where he obtained his CDL license and pursued a career as a Truck Driver. Robert worked as a truck driver for over 30 years and retired from USF Bestway Freightlines in 2008.
Beyond the professional realm Robert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Robert married, Mayrene Bogany, October 2,1970 their union was a testament to love and partnership. To this union their daughter, Tajuana Evett Carr was born. Robert's dedication to family was unwavering, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and countless cherished memories. In his spare time Robert spent hours watching his favorite western shows, spending time with family and worshipping as well as serving in his admiration for God.
Robert accepted Christ an early age. He and his family joined Antioch under the pastorate of the late Dr. Karry D. Wesley.
On April 26, 2025, Robert submitted to the Heavenly Father's will and departed this life. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother and father, Adam and Willie Carr; brothers-Dennis L Gilmore and Albert Carr, sister- Doris Fields; son-in-law- William Sharron Kirby.
The legacy of Robert Nay Carr is one of integrity, kindness, and inspiration. His influence is seen in the lives touched, the principles upheld, and the enduring impact on the community and family. As we mourn the loss, we also celebrate a life that was lived to the fullest, embracing every opportunity and facing every challenge with grace.
Robert leaves to cherish his memory and continue his legacy his wife, Mayrene Carr, daughter, Tajuana Evett Carr-Kirby; grand-daughter- Taylor Shanice Kirby; siblings- brother Tommy Carr; sister's- Annie Nicholas, Anita Carr, Shirley Carr, Faye Jones, Georgia Cook and a host of faith family and friends.
