Life Journey
RILEY HILL, JR. was born in Naples, Texas, to the late Riley Hill, Sr.
and Lillie Mae Isiah Hill on March 27, 1948. He united with Morning
Star Baptist Church at an early age.
RILEY received his education from Carver High School in Naples,
Texas in 1967. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1968 and
served in the Vietnam War until 1970. Upon his Honorable Discharge,
he worked at Methodist Hospital as a janitor and Sears in the Dallas
Catalog Merchandise Center for 18 years and 11 years in the Sears
Credit Card Service Department before retiring. He was a member
of New Greater Emmanuel Baptist Church under Pastor Curley Lee
Veasey for many years during which he served as an usher and sung in
the Male Choir. His passion was being a self-taught mechanic; through
this talent he was able to bless many.
RILEY was preceded in death by his parents, Riley, Sr. and Lillie Mae
Hill; three brothers, O'Bryan Hill, James Hill, and Johnny Hill; two
sisters, Ludie Hill, and Obbie Hill.
HE leaves to cherish his memories his loving and caring daughter,
Anton "Ann" Hill; granddaughter, Briana Jack (Toddy); great
grandchildren, Jackson and Janiya Jack; one sister, Patricia "Pat" Hill;
one brother, Osborn "Jake" Hill; and a host of nieces, nephews, other
relatives, and friends.
